Ivermectin and Ivermectin B1b are the most potent inhibitors of contraction and motility in both susceptible isolates ( H. contortus McMaster and and O. circumcincta McMaster) also show the highest resistance ratios in both species.
Vermectin is a macrocyclic lactone that acts as a positive allosteric modulator of α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) but has no modulatory activity on 5-HT3 receptors.
